World’s Most Advanced High Technology
Complementing Ultimate Beijing Events
Venue at Pangu 7 Star Hotel

(Beijing, 9 November 2010) – Beijing’s spectacular new ballroom for events at the stunning ‘Pangu 7 Star Hotel’ is the most expensive ever developed in China, representing an investment of over RMB 500 million.

Majestic Setting Complemented
by High Tech Amenities

The breathtaking 888 sqm Pangu Lotus Ballroom offers breathtaking views of the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest stadium and is complemented by an expansive reception area of 700 sqm not only has the highest ceiling of any function room in Beijing, soaring 15-metres within the remarkable new icon for the Chinese capital, it is also featuring the most advanced high-technology available in the world today.

Befitting Beijing’s most privileged address since emperors and empresses occupied the Forbidden City, the city’s most stunning meeting and events venue has combined the extraordinary technology of the world’s most prestigious brands showcasing their state-of-the-art developments.

These include sound systems by Meyer Sound (US) and A&H (UK); video by Labgruppen (Sweden); centralised control and simultaneous translation for conferences by Crestron (US); and motorised curtains by Paymakers (Netherlands) and Drapilux (Germany).

State-of-the-art
Design for Out of this World Events

Amazing lighting potential is incorporated with 196 remote control track spot lights.

An external backdrop of the world’s largest LCD screen, displayed across the façade of the Pangu Plaza, allows event organizers to take advantage of this feature to showcase their event.

Sweeping arched windows at another end present a picture-perfect vista of two of the world’s great modern architectural wonders, the ‘Bird’s Nest’ National Stadium and ‘Water Cube’ Aquatics Centre.

Designers have incorporated a magnificent outdoor ‘Dragon Terrace’ for guests to admire the twin landmarks built for the Beijing Olympics.

The Epitome of Cultured Luxury

Interior design pays homage to China’s ancient ‘feng shui’ concept, with the main door and ballroom embraced by dragons symbolising royalty and power, auspicious clouds on the ceiling bringing blessing to guests and hollowed carvings of inverted bats – backlit by 101 LED lights – bringing good fortune.

Seating up to 500 for banquets, the Pangu Lotus Ballroom has its own separate entrance and escalator at the hotel ballroom grand entrance.

A ‘super-elevator’ measured at 3m X 9m is large enough to transport cars and other heavy, large objects up the exhibition space, allowing for smooth operation and flawless execution of events.

Endless Excitement for Unique Experiences

Also located on the third floor, the ultimate Beijing MICE venue includes The Pangu Ballroom of 738 sqm, accommodating up to 400.

Like the Pangu Lotus Ballroom, it is richly adorned in gold with giant Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and Bacarat chandeliers in the foyer entrance, reflecting a blend of Chinese Fengshui and contemporary European glamour.

Five multifunction rooms from 68 sqm to 176 sqm can comfortably host between eight and 216 guests, and partitions that separate the rooms can be opened to facilitate larger conferences.

All meeting rooms and ballrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual technology, including suspended LCD projectors and high-definition flat screen TVs, video conferencing system, HD video recorders and Blu-Ray DVD players.

These are supported by an advanced sound system with amplifier, mixer, wireless microphone and speakers.

Wired and wireless Internet is available throughout, as well as IP and cordless phones.

Overhead projectors with 3D visualisation and simultaneous translation systems complete the state-of-the-art facilities.

All connected by spacious, full-service reception and break-out areas, Pangu 7 Star Hotel’s conventions and events facilities are unquestionably the most advanced and prestigious for high-level meetings, incentives, conventions and memorable events in the Chinese capital.

The Convergence of Power

This winning combination of superior meetings and events facilities, premium service and added-value facilities makes Pangu 7 Star Hotel the ultimate Beijing MICE venue.

Located on Beijing’s New Axis of prestige and power, adjacent to the historical central axis stretching from the Forbidden City to the 2008 Olympic Park, beside the 4th Ring Road, the hotel also enjoys convenient access via new highways to Beijing Capital Airport and all the city’s major attractions.
